What Frendi AI and HoneyChat offer
The 18+ filter
Help center, “Is there an 18+ filter on Frendi?”: “Yes, the platform uses content filters to keep users safe and comply with the service rules.” Same page: “The platform and its rules comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation.” In the archived price list the “18+” model opens from Plus+; the free plan does not have it.
In practice this means that explicitness in Frendi is a paid option inside the general filter. Scenes the filter deems unacceptable are cut off regardless of the plan. How strict the filter is in practice we did not test — not verified.
Data and chats
- Chats are private and not published (help center, “Privacy”).
- The service “does not sell data to advertisers”.
- But: “messages may be stored and used in anonymised form to improve quality” — your chats may go into model improvement.
- During sign-up, consent to “personalised and promotional messages” is pre-selected — the box can be unticked.
- An account is mandatory: your e-mail or Yandex/VK/Mail.ru profile is tied to the chat history.
Age
Site footer: “The content is intended exclusively for adults. By using the service you confirm that you are 18+.” There is no separate age check at login — only this confirmation.
Against HoneyChat
The case for Frendi AI
The rules are transparent and rest on Russian law; chats are private and the legal entity is known. For those who want a “safe” companion within clear boundaries, that is a plus.
The case for HoneyChat
No account means no e-mail or phone number in a database — the minimum of data about you from the start. Explicit content is not banned but regulated with five depth levels that you choose — a scene is not cut off by a filter halfway through.
